Outbreaks of Avian Flu – dangerous for humans – are registered in India, Japan and Russia
According to the information from svopi.ru an outbreak of Avian Flu is regestered in India. This time it’s H5N1 stamm – dangerous also for humans. The virus has already eliminated over 15 thousand ducks on the South of the country. This outbreak is larger and much more serious than last winter.
Indian authorities do all possible to prevent spread of the infection over the country. Over 200 thousand specimen of poultry are already annihilated to this moment. Within 10 kms reach from the infection hotbed strongest precautions are undertaken. Statistically more than 60% infected people die from
H5N1 as cannot win over the insidious virus.
Over 100 thousand hen from a hennery in Taragi, Japan will be eliminated as they could have been infected with avian flu. This decision was made after the detection and examination of over 270 dead hens. The analysis of their corpses showed they were infected with avian flu. Quarantine zone of over 3 kms separated the infected farm, and its product was banned for transportation and realization.
For the first time during 4 years a case of contamination with avian flu happened in Russia. Infected poultry was found in Dolgovo village, Altai region. Russian Federal Service for Veterinary & Phytosanitary Surveillance made this statement after the examination of dead bodies of poultry “with the trails of H5H1 genome” in blood. Humans are not immuned from this virus, that’s why it’s extremely dangerous and can lead to death. Statistically more than 60% infected people die from H5H1. First hotbeds of this infection were determined in 2003 in several countries of the world simultaneously. 380 people died from this virus. Stamms of this virus can infect different types of poultry and can be passed to humans.
