Dozens of abandoned farms are being reconstructed in Moscow area

 

“Reconstruction of abandoned dairy farms – the first indicator of revival of the dairy industry”


 

“In Kolomensky, Lotoshinsky, Noginsky, Naro-Fominsk, Ramensky, Ruza, Sergiev Posad districts, in Lukhovitsy , Chekhov and Kashira there is an active technological renovation of cowsheds.”This was reported by the Minister of Agriculture and Food of the Moscow region Andrei Razin.

The minister reminded that over 15 abandoned dairy farms are planned to be repaired within a year. As already reported, in accordance with the program of subsidizing old dairy farms, that has started in the Moscow region last year, up to the half of the cost of equipment purchased for the reconstruction of farms, will be returned from the regional budget.The purchase of robotic milking equipment is co-financed.

According to the regional Ministry of Agriculture and Food, there are about a hundred of abandoned dairy farms in the Moscow region. Their reconstruction is planned to be completed within several years.
