In Russia, soon there will be fodder protein, which will replace imported products

Scientists of the Far Eastern Federal University (FEFU) are developing a new fodder protein, capable of replacing imported products, the press service of the university reports.

“Innovative technology will be based on the use of cheap raw materials from agricultural waste and will allow producing concentrated feed for various livestock sectors,” the report said.

The representative of the university said that the development is being carried out within the framework of the creation of the territory of advanced development (TOP) “Nadezhdinskaya”, where by the end of 2018 it is planned to establish a high-tech production of fodder microbiological protein.

At present, FENU scientists are developing special strains of microorganisms that will increase their biomass and ferment fodder protein on cheap raw materials from agricultural waste.

Recall that today most of the fodder protein, which is the source of the most important amino acids, is imported from abroad. And this creates certain threats to Russia’s food security.
