Lifting of quarantine on avian flu in Rostov region
Press center of the Rostov regional Station of the Livestock Diseases Control informs of the lifting of quarantine on avian flu at 2 production sites in Rostov region. Due to the outbreaks of avian flu the quarantine was imposed in Oktyabrsiy district at rearing area в„–7 of LLC “Eurodon” and at the territory of aviaries в„–3 and в„–6 of LLC ” Ptitsefabrika Markinskaya”.
From the moment the disease was spotted a range of preventive measures was performed, so that the disease would not spread throughout the region. As a result the outbreak was stopped and the disease conquered very quickly. The quarantine was lifted from “Eurodon” already on July, 7, and by the end of the month – from ” Ptitsefabrika Markinskaya”. So the whole Rostov region is already freed from avian flu, and the quarantine is lifted.
Already at the beginning of July LLC “Eurodon” actively started production of poultry meat, mostly turkey. By nowadays already 3000 tons of the product was supplied to the biggest retailers, such as “Lenta”, “OK” and “Selgros”. Daily output equals now approximately 200 tons of the product. And it is expected to be kept at the level of 2016, despite the quarantine.
