Epidemy of Avian Flu started in Northern Europe
According to the information published at svopi.ru – independent news portal of Belarus and Russia, quoting western informational sources, outbreaks of avian flu, mostly of highly pathogenic H5N8 type, are regestered in Denmark, Finland, Germany and Sweden during the past couple of days.
Dutch capital, caused elimination of 190 thousand of ducks. Potentially unhealthy and hazardous poultry was annihilated at 6 farms, somehow connected with or situated within 1 km reach from the infection hotbed. The authorities also checked all the farms within 3 kms and banned transportation of poultry products within the radius of 10 kms to avoid the infection spread.

Outdreak of avian flu of the same stamm – H5N8 – is registered in Berlin. The incident took place in Friedrichshein-Kreizberg region. This part of the city is quarantined, and cleanup of locality is undertaken within 4 kms from the infection source. All the owners of any poultry are being thoroughly checked.
