Online training for cattle-breeders
An interesting project is launched by the “Agrarian Center of Tomsk Region” – online training for cattle-breeders “How to grow a calf from birth till calving”. The new training course is worked out by and realized on the basis of Tomsk High School of Agribusiness.
The tutorial is tested on the basis of “Mezheninovskiy” agroindustrial complex situated in Tomsk region. 20 young employees of its zootechnical service became the first students of the educational program. This e-learning course is planned for 6 months of distance education in theory, and its practical training will take part directly at the farm.Theory is taught in the form of remote lectures, videoslots, tests and essays on the studied topic. During this half a year course the students will learn feeding technology, fattening, treating, nursing and caring for the calves, their healing and conducting veterinary activities, herd reproduction and so on. The most prominant advantage of remote studying is that the classes can be taken at any suitable time, with one’s own pace, without interrupting the working process of the students. Communication with the tutors is kept via the internet – by skype, chats or videoconferences. It’s very convenient and already proved to be productive. The employees benefit from such courses and also does the agroindustrial complex. All the students will get official certificates after successful passing their exams and graduation, and they’ll continue working at the agroindustrial complex but already on a higher and more professional level.
